The Hebrew word “bereshiyt” means “in the beginning” as found in Genesis 1:1
“In the beginning (בְּרֵאשִׁ֖ית-bereshiyt), God (אֱלֹהִ֑ים-elohim) created (בָּרָ֣א-bara) (אֵ֥ת-et) the heavens (הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם-ha’shamayim) and (וְ-va) (אֵ֥ת-et) the earth (הָאָֽרֶץ-ha’aretz).”
